500563147 1108851007930243 89432739135209440 nState Senator Meg Loughran Cappel is reminding parents there is still time for children to participate in her annual Summer Book Club before school begins next month.

“My Summer Book Club is a great way to keep students excited about learning, even during the summer months when school is out,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “Children have a little over a month left of summer, so there’s still time to get some reading in and return a form to my office.”

The Summer Book Club requires students to read eight books of their choice during the summer break, record the names of the books on a form, and return the form to Loughran Cappel’s district office by Aug. 15. Forms can also be filled out online here.

Every child who completes the Summer Book Club will receive a certificate and an invite to an ice cream social hosted by Senator Loughran Cappel. Parents and guardians with questions can reach out to Loughran Cappel’s office at 815-267-6119.
