CREST HILL – Families can get a head start on the back-to-school excitement this year at State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel and State Representative Natalie Manley’s annual back-to-school fair on July 25.
“As a former educator I look forward to the back-to-school fair every year,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “It is always nice to see students get excited for the upcoming school year, showcase community resources and catch up with families in the district.”
The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at Richland Elementary School located at 1919 Caton Farm Rd. in Crest Hill. Loughran Cappel and Manley will be joined by over 40 vendors and community partners providing educational resources and school supply giveaways for students and their families preparing for the school year. Additionally, there will be a pop-up vaccine clinic in partnership with Jewel Osco, live entertainment, Touch a Truck, and a cupcake walk.
“The back-to-school fair is a great opportunity for families to spend a day together and get their students excited to get back in the classroom,” said Loughran Cappel.
